Feeding talks are conducted at 11h00 and 15h00 from Tuesday to Sundays and public holidays as well as in season.
Venomous snake demos are also conducted on weekends to make the public aware that these magnificent creature do play very important role in nature that that they are very special.
We have a specially formulated animal enrichment program for each animal. This program caters for the all the animals need and to stimulate the animal's brain to promote natural behavior. That is also why we try our best to mimic the animals natural habitat within the enclosure where its housed.
Educational tours are offered to school, private tours and university groups. Our professional guides will take the tours on a unforgettable tour, showing them all the animals and telling the public all about the habits and behaviors of the animals in the park as well as to educate the public about the flora growing in the coastal dune forests that have been settled here in the south coast of KwaZulu-Natal.
Guided Night tours are also presented in the park once a month or on special requested.
Venomous snake handling, identification and the treatment of snakebites courses are presented every three months. These courses is FGASA (Field Guiding Association of South Africa) registered as well as with the With Medical council. 5 CPD point will be provided to all medical doctors passing the course.
We also offer a Junior croc conservator course for kids between the age 10 - 15 kids whom are enthusiastic about animals and the environment. After doing the one day course presented in the park that kids will have the opportunity to become a member of the club and to work voluntary in the park on certain set days in the year. They will be able to do their part to safe our environment and to educate other kids and people about sustainability and conservation. |
