CARACAL
Caracal caracal
The caracal is fiercely territorial medium-sized cat. It is best known for its spectacular skill at hunting bird, able to snatch a bird in flight, sometimes more than one at a time. It can jump and climb exceptionally well, which enables it to catch hyraxes better than probably any other carnivore. Its life expectancy in the wild is 12 years, and 17 years in captivity. The gestation period is 68 - 81 days, and the litter size ranges from 1 to 6 kittens.

MEERKAT
Suricata suricatta
The meerkat or suricate is a small mammal and is part of the mongoose family. A group of meerkat is called a "mob","gang", or "clan". A clan often consists of up to 20 members at a time, but sometimes it can consists of up to 50 members called a super family. Meerkats are burrowing animals, living in large underground networks with multiple entrances which they leave only during day time. There is always an alpha male and female in each gang. Meerkats have an average life span of about 12 - 14 years.
